The Ancaster Ministerial Association presents a free film screening and panel discussion on assisted dying April 3 at Redeemer Auditorium. There is no need to register or reserve seats.
What is the Christian response to assisted dying?
Local Ancaster filmmaker Kevin Dunn has been called “a modern day Cassandra who has produced a film that describes what would be terrifying science fiction, were it not already social fact.” Over the past three years, Dunn has traveled throughout Europe and North America to ask one one of the most fundamental philosophical questions of our time: should we be giving doctors the right - in law - to end the life of others by euthanasia or assisted suicide? Powerful testimonies and expert opinion from both sides of the issue uncover how these highly disputed laws affect society over time. This film is about the adoption of - and resistance to - a new cultural philosophy that may affect you at the most vulnerable time of your life.
The Ancaster Ministerial Association is sponsoring a free screening of a special, one hour version of Fatal Flaws: Legalizing Assisted Death.
Following the film will be an engaging panel discussion: The Christian Response to Assisted Dying, featuring the film’s director and honoured guests from Ancaster’s medical and faith community. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 3, 7PM at Redeemer Auditorium, 777 Garner Road, Ancaster.
The film is produced by DunnMedia & Entertainment in association with The Euthanasia Prevention Coalition.
The film is rated PG due to sensitive subject matter.
